IN PERFORMANCE AT THE WHITE HOUSE: CELEBRATING THE MUSIC OF PAUL MCCARTNEY

The Gershwin Prize for Popular Song

BROADWAY VIDEO EDITS  ‘IN PERFORMANCE AT THE WHITE HOUSE: CELEBRATING THE MUSIC OF PAUL MCCARTNEY’

Recently, Broadway Video provided post-production services for the ninety minute PBS special, “In Performance at the White House:  Celebrating the Music of Paul McCartney.” With Barak Obama and the First Family in attendance, Sir Paul accepted The Library of Congress Gershwin Prize for Popular Song.

Using Final Cut Pro and his extensive editorial expertise, Broadway Video’s senior editor Yossi Kimberg and veteran director Linda Mendoza assembled a classic one-of-a-kind show.  Along with Sir Paul, distinguished guest performances honoring the former Beatle included Stevie Wonder, Faith Hill, the Jonas Brothers, Jerry Seinfeld, Dave Grohl, Emmylou Harris, Elvis Costello, Jack White, Corrine Bailey Raye, Herbie Hancock, and Lang Lang.

“It was nice to sink my teeth into the material from this show,” said Kimberg. “The people who worked on it are seasoned professionals– it’s a pleasure to collaborate with such a well-accomplished team from top to bottom.”

Executive Producers Bob Kaminsky, Peter Kaminsky, Mark Krantz and Cappy McGarr have collaborated for many years with Broadway Video.

“The class, polish and plain old-fashioned dedication to do whatever it takes have made our work with Broadway Video consistently satisfying.  Yossi Kimberg is unflappable, cheerful and a master,” Peter Kaminsky said.
